Terms & Conditions.

Last updated: 12 September 2026

These Terms explain what you can expect from SiteRoot, and what we expect from you, when you use siteroot.com.au and the SiteRoot website-building service.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Innoveta Pty Ltd (ACN 692 415 946), trading as SiteRoot (“SiteRoot”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using siteroot.com.au and the SiteRoot website-building service (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. If we make material changes, we’ll let you know as described in section 13; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

2. The Service

SiteRoot uses AI to help small businesses go from a description of their business to a live website, and to keep suggesting improvements after launch. The Service is a paid subscription with a free trial: you start with 14 days free, and the subscription begins when the trial ends unless you cancel first. The full fee and billing terms are in section 8. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.

3. Your Account

To use the Service you need an account, created with your email address or by signing in with Google or Microsoft. You must:

  • Give us accurate information about yourself and your business;
  • Only create an account if you’re authorised to act on behalf of the business you’re building a site for;
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access; and
  • Be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian’s consent.

You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Upload or publish content that’s illegal, defamatory, misleading, or infringes someone else’s rights (including copyright and trademarks);
  • Use the Service to build a site for a business you don’t represent, or to impersonate another person or business;
  • Try to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems; or
  • Use the Service in a way that breaches any applicable law.

You’re responsible for the business information, images, logos, and other content you upload. You confirm you have the right to use it, and to have SiteRoot use it to build your site.

5. AI-Generated Content

SiteRoot uses AI to draft your site’s copy, layout and structure from the information you give us. AI-generated content is a starting point, not a guarantee of accuracy. You’re responsible for reviewing everything before it goes live, including checking facts, prices, opening hours, and any claims about your business. Nothing SiteRoot builds is published until you’ve had a chance to preview and approve it.

6. Your Content and Intellectual Property

You keep ownership of the content you provide (your business details, copy you write or approve, logos, images and other materials) and of the finished website generated for your business. By using the Service, you give us a licence to use, host, reproduce and display that content solely to build, operate, and improve the Service for you.

SiteRoot and its licensors own the Service itself: the platform, templates, design system, underlying code, and the SiteRoot brand. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that technology to you; you receive a licence to use your generated site for as long as your account remains active and in good standing.

7. Domain Names

SiteRoot doesn’t currently sell or register domain names. If you want your site on your own domain (e.g. yourbusiness.com.au), you’ll need to register and manage that domain yourself through a domain registrar, and connect it to your SiteRoot site. We’re not responsible for domain registration, renewal, or any third-party registrar’s terms.

8. Fees

Free trial. New accounts get 14 days free. A valid payment method is required to start the trial, and you will not be charged during it. One free trial per customer.

What you pay. When the trial ends, the subscription starts at A$16.50 per month, in Australian dollars. That is the whole amount that leaves your account: it is A$15 plus GST. Innoveta Pty Ltd is registered for GST.

Automatic renewal. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your payment method is charged on the date the trial ends and on the same date each month afterwards, until you cancel. The exact date is shown on your billing screen from the day you start.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your billing screen. Cancel during the trial and you are never charged. Cancel after that and your website stays live until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not give partial refunds for an unused part of a month.

Changes to the fee. If we change the price, we will tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect.

Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information, and forms part of these Terms.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will generate any particular business outcome, such as leads, bookings, or sales. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent the law allows, our liability for breaching a guarantee that can’t be excluded is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

11. Limitation of Liability

Subject to section 10, to the maximum extent permitted by law, SiteRoot is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including lost profits or lost business opportunities) arising from your use of the Service, or for outages or issues caused by third-party providers, the internet generally, or events outside our reasonable control.

12. Suspension and Termination

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, use the Service unlawfully, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to SiteRoot, other users, or third parties.

When an account is closed (by you or by us), your published site is taken offline. We’ll retain or delete any remaining data in line with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as SiteRoot evolves. We’ll post the updated Terms here with a new “last updated” date, and for material changes we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know directly (such as by email) before they take effect.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria for any dispute arising from them or your use of the Service.
